The first Rolls-Royce AE3007A1E turbofan entered service on an ERJ-145XR at launch customer ExpressJet. The enhanced engine provides increased thrust and range that will allow new hub-feed and point-to point route options, the company said. Rolls is supplying the power-plants for ExpressJet's 104 firm and 100 option orders for the ERJ-145XR in a deal valued at $600 million, It also is supplying AE3007s and engine maintenance for Chautauqua Airlines' 22 ERJ-145s to be operated for Delta Connection in a deal valued at $178 million. …
