Needed: greater interaction between academia, industry. (column)


"I have always believed in the idea of greater interaction between educational institutions and industry," writes Constantinos Apostolakos, an Air Canada avionics engineer who lives in St. Laurent, Que.

His commentary comes in response to the 89 report in this space on the vital role of industry in motivating youth to aim at high-tech careers, if quality technicians are to be available to support aerospace and air-transportation-industry growth into the next century.
