ALPA set for another round with Mesa Air Group. (Regional News).(Brief Article)

The feud between the Air Line Pilots Assn. and Mesa Air Group ratcheted up a notch when the union announced it is contributing $2 million to aid Mesa Airlines pilots in their ongoing contract negotiations with the company. The money will be used for improved communications, family outreach efforts and strike preparation activities while pilots continue to "confront airline management's stonewalling of contract negotiations," according to ALPA.

The union also pledged to "use all appropriate means ... to oppose the formation of Freedom Airlines," which Mesa CEO Jonathan Ornstein is creating to operate CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft for America West. …
