Air France was forced to cancel most of its flights Sept. 6-9 owing to a four-day strike by its pilots. The airline was due to secure a new long-term wage agreement with pilots last Sept., but both sides agreed to delay the deadline for those talks by a year following the 9/11 attacks. In the interim, two agreements were signed, one in Dec. that led to an increase in pilot salaries of 4% and one in April for an increase of 3.3%, according to the airline. …
