Ansett Regionals set to be sold. (Regional News).(Brief Article)

Sale of former Ansett subsidiaries Hazelton Airlines and Kendell Airlines at presstime appeared to have been clinched, with a syndicate led by a former pilot acquiring both Regionals to merge them into a single airline.

Australiawide Airlines, as the organization is known, is understood to be paying between A$30 million and A$35 million ($16.8 and $19.7 million) for the airlines. The protracted buyout deal was due to be settled on July 21. Under the plan to bring Kendell and Hazelton together, Australiawide CEO Michael Jones said another 100 employees will lose their jobs. …
