Concept 90: designer simulators. (flight simulator)

Rediffusion's 3-year story produces a machine that looks good outside, offers ergonomically superior interior. By Arthur Reed.

London-Rediffusion Simulation has launched a new design for its products that not only looks better but is easier to maintain, with reduced life-cycle costs, the company claims. Called Concept 90, the design makes extensive use of composite molded panels that the company says will help speed up the process of manufacture, thus reducing delivery times. Also, it will make the simulator easier to maintain, thus reducing life-cycle costs.

MGA Developments, a leading British industrial-transportation designer, produced the new look. Rediffusion suggests that this is the first time a flight-simulator producer has worked with external-design consultants "to produce a simulator that combines very high standards of both functional and aesthetic design." The design is the result of a 3-year program of market research and development. …
