Singapore Airlines' first-half net profit plunged 24% to S$468.3 million ($289.3 million). Revenue slid 3.6% to S$3.8 billion. Operating profit fell 44.2% to S$246 million but non-operating gains, primarily from aircraft sales, helped prop up the net result.
