SAS Group reported pretax income of Sek1 billion ($127.3 million) for the third quarter, up 56.9% over the year-ago period. Current period results benefited from the sale of aircraft to the tune of Sek538 million.

Operating revenue rose 3.8% to Sek9.6 billion but operating income before depreciation fell 11% to Sek1 billion. Negative currency movements knocked Sek76 million off operating income and Sek108 million off pretax income.

SAS said Asia's problems have not had a "significant impact" on its income because of SAS's limited exposure. …
