Eyes Wide Open.

Dear Editor:

In "Eyes Wide Open" (10/99), Air Transport Association's John Meenan is paraphrased as stating that "since nothing is wrong" with current FAA regulations regarding crew flight/duty requirements, "they should be left alone." As a commuter/regional airline pilot for six years, I would not wish my experiences with on-the-job fatigue on my worst enemy, and I find it hard to believe anyone could find "nothing wrong" with long, grueling days of multileg flying on bare-minimum sleep. …
