A Continental Airlines customer service agent at Newark Airport was injured severely July 22 after he attempted to prevent a passenger from entering an aircraft without displaying a boarding pass. John C. Davis of Fredericksburg, Va., was arrested and released after posting $50,000 bail.

Declaring that 'this man will not fly on Continental again," Chairman and CEO Gordon Bethune urged Congress to pass legislation banning such passengers from the airline system entirely. …
