Comair to order 30-seat RJs.

As part of its move toward an all-jet fleet by 2001, Delta Connection Comair will place a significant order for the Fairchild Aerospace 32-seat 328JET and 44-seat 428JET or the 37-seat Embraer ERJ-135. An announcement was expected at the Paris air show and it appeared as if Embraer had the upper hand on the important order, sources familiar with the negotiations said.

"Comair believes that one of these aircraft may effectively accommodate the company's plan to operate an all-jet fleet," said Charles Curran, senior VP-marketing. …
