RAA Convention--something for everyone.

Phoenix--Manufacturers, vendors, consultants and new airlines were out in force at this year's RAA Convention informing members and the news media of their services.

Saab Aircraft Leasing, the wholly owned subsidiary of Saab AB, and its customer support division assured the industry that they would continue to support the Saab 340 and 2000 fleets worldwide now that production has ceased. In April the last 50-seat 2000 and in May the final 34-seat 340 were delivered to customers, bringing to 522 the number of aircraft that have been produced in the last 16 years.

"Together with our stronger-than-ever customer support organization, Saab is prepared to head into the next millennium," said SAL President Michael Magnusson. …
