Brazil's airlines.

Brazil's airlines are responding to the downturn in passenger travel by increasing their focus on the cargo business. TAM was to launch at press time a new express cargo product and to open this month a $7 million cargo terminal at its Sao Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport hub. Last year TAM's cargo revenue rose 23% to $63 million; estimates this year are for $80 million.

VASP increased its cargo revenue from 7.5% of the total three years ago to 17% last year. …
