Embraer forms ERJ-170/190 advisory board.

Embraer has established a six-airline advisory board for its proposed 70-seat ERJ-170 and 90-seat ERJ-190 regional jets. The objective of the board is to ensure full customer participation in the design and development phases of both aircraft.

"The airplane's configuration and basic design specifications were very well received by the board members," assured Embraer Program Director Luis Carlos Affonso.

During the first meeting, Embraer displayed a passenger cabin mockup of the aircraft. The unique interior arrangement made possible by the double-bubble fuselage cross-section allows a two-by-two seating configuration with more head, shoulder and leg room than any competitor aircraft, according to a company statement. …
