Rolls-Royce predicts continued robust market.(aircraft engine market)(Brief Article)

Some 8,033 new regional aircraft and 18,600 new engines will be delivered over the next 19 years. Value of these deliveries will total $129 billion and $35 billion respectively. So states Rolls-Royce in its recently released Market Outlook for Regional and Corporate Aircraft between 1998-20 17 (see article, p. 32).

Of these deliveries, 5,710 will be regional jets and the remaining 2,323 turboprops. Regional airline passenger traffic will grow at an average annual rate of 5.8% over the next 20 years, says RR's market forecast.
