Japan Airlines is expected to resume dividend payments for the first time in seven years following completion of a profitable fiscal year. It expects to report a net profit of about [yen]12 billion ($101 million) for the 12 months ended last March 31, compared with a net loss of [yen]94.2 billion in the previous fiscal year.

Annual revenues are estimated to total [yen]1.1 trillion, down 6% from FY98. Although international passenger traffic increased 1%, international revenues likely fell 7.5% as premium traffic shifted to lower-fare tickets. …
