Delta Air Lines reached agreement in principle to sell 119 727-200s and 39 spare engines to a unit of United Technologies Corp. as they are retired from Delta's fleet over the next six years.

UTC is working with Republic Financial Corp. of Denver, which will remarket the aircraft after converting them into freighters, while Pratt & Whitney will use engines not required for the freighter conversions to provide spares support for JT8D customers. …
