KLM posted a loss of Nlg29 million ($14.9 million) in the third quarter ended Dec. 31, reversing earnings of Nlg46 million a year earlier. Operating revenues fell 3% toNlg3.l billion.

The airline blamed the loss on the industrywide slump and aftereffects of the pilot strike against Northwest Airlines. It said yields had fallen because of global economic weakness and increased competition from carriers that shifted capacity to the North Atlantic following financial turmoil in Asia. …
