Horizon Air chooses CRJ-700.(Brief Article)

Seattle-based Horizon Air, the wholly owned subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, has placed a firm order for 25 70-passenger CRJ-700s. Bombardier Aerospace valued the order at around $580 million. Also, it brings to 96 the number of CRJ700s ordered worldwide.

Horizon, which serves 38 cities throughout the U.S. Northwest, becomes the fourth U.S. Regional to order the CRJ-700 after American Eagle (25), and Delta Connection carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines (12) and Comair (20). Brit air of France and Lufthansa Cityline also have ordered the CRJ-700. …
