U.S. airline passenger traffic (RPMs) rose 3% in Nov., compared with Nov., 1997, paced by strong domestic growth, ATA reported. With seat capacity (ASMs) up just 2.5%, passenger load factor rose .3 points to 68%. Domestic traffic rose 4.3%, against a 3.1% rise in ASMs and load factor climbed .8 points to 67.6%. Nov. international RPMs actually fell 0.3% against a 0.8 rise in ASMs, and load factor declined .8 points to 69.1%.
