Single-engine turboprop alliance formed.

Former Federal Aviation Administrator Langhorne Bond has formed an alliance of commercial operators and manufacturers of single-engine aircraft to advise international regulatory bodies on the operation of these aircraft. Initial activities of the Single Engine Turboprop Affiance will focus on pending European operational requirements, JARS.

In announcing the formation of SETA, Bond said: The recent decision of FAA to allow single-engine conunercial instrument ffights with passengers is a reflection of a growing worldwide trend."
