Rolls-Royce plc took a 500/0 stake in Irish operating lessor Pembroke Capital. Under the agreement, Rolls will contribute its aircraft-leasing venture into the renamed Pembroke Group. Rolls's business, Aircraft Financing and Trading, primarily existed to manage a portfolio of Rolls-powered Fokker jets and turboprops. The combined entity will have a portfolio of 60 aircraft.

A day before the transaction was announced, Pembroke said it ordered 10 BMW/Rolls-Royce powered 717s, a transaction CEO Shane Cooke called "an example of business development where [the companies] can benefit from mutual cooperation. …
