EU rewrites chapter on noise.

Europe is getting tougher on hush-kitted aircraft, with the European Parliament expected to give a final reading to legislation in the coming weeks to prevent European air[toes from adding any new Chapter III hush-kitteed airliners to the register after April 1,1999. Chapter Ill hush-kitted aircraft on the European register will have to be withdrawn starting in 2002. Non-European carriers with Chapter III hush-kitted aircraft will be banned from Europe after 2002 unless they operated into Europe during certain earlier years in the 1990s.
