Hamilton Standard, maker of a wide variety of aviation equipment, including regional aircraft propellers, has acquired Ratier-Figeac from the French industrial company Bertrand Faure.

"This is an excellent acquisition for Hamilton Standard," said President Raymond P. Kurlak. "Ratier-Figeac's outstanding business performance and industry reputation provide both near-term and strategic benefits to our company. We're already jointly involved in our composite propeller businesses and we look forward to increased participation with Airbus and the European aviation market across all of our aerospace product lines."

With 1997 sales of more than $110 million, Ratier-Figeac manufactures equipment and components for the commercial, military and regional markets, including propellers, flight controls, cockpit controls and hydraulic actuators. …
