WestAir, the West Coast division of Mesa Air Group, will lay off 1,100 employees, as a result of the termination of its code-share agreement with United Airlines. SkyWest Airlines of St George, Utah, now feeds United's hubs at Los Angeles and San Francisco (see article, page 66).
