Aeropostal and Delta Air Lines signed a commercial agreement calling for the Venezuelan carrier to put its 2-letter designator on Delta's Atlanta-Caracas service that begins April 2. The agreement is subject to U.S. and Venezuelan approval.

ACES reduced from 30% to between 10% and 20% the ownership stake it will sell to an international partner. The board reduced the offering after finding that international investors are losing interest in Colombia because of the impact on the economy of ongoing political and social problems. The decision was taken despite the airline's having posted close to $4 million profit in 1997. Sale of shares was to have been completed in late March.
