EUC TAKES ON ITS MEMBERS.

The EU Commission followed up on its threat to challenge new air-services agreements--including seven open-skies agreements-signed by the U.S. and eight EU member nations. The EUC claims that Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden and the U.K. usurped EU authority when they negotiated individual deals with the U.S. According to the EUC, the accords undermine the single European market in aviation and discriminate against other countries. …
