Canadian Regional Airlines, a member of the Canadian Airlines family, has completed the sale of its Quebec-based regional subsidiary, Inter-Canadien, to Canadian Investors Corp.

The sale includes Inter-Canadien routes in Quebec, Ontario and Atlantic Canada, picked up when Air Atlantic, another Canadian Airlines partner, shut down in Oct.

Inter-Canadien's chairman, Michael Cochrane, said the airline would continue to provide feed service to Canadian Airlines' hubs in Halifax, Montreal and Toronto.

Canadian Regional President and Chief Executive Robert Reding said Inter-Canadien's business plan includes fleet growth and route expansion. Inter-Canadien will remain a full partner of Canadian Airlines, offering all of the benefits of Canadian's route network, including the Canadian Plus frequent-flier program. …
