RAA is expected to serve a plateful of issues to regional airlines at its Reno meeting

New-aircraft technology, evolution and applications for the 19-seat market, FAA funding, Wall Street's view of regional airlines and tax issues that affect U.S. regionals are among the many topics to be discussed at RAA's annual convention, at the Reno Hilton, May 11-14.

Following an evening reception on May 11, the first full day will begin with an Associate Member Council session chaired by Allison Engine's Dr. Al Novick, who will discuss how the AMC can aid members and RAA, along with back-to-back Board of Directors' and President's Council meetings.

Among the subjects that RAA VP-Technical Services David Lotterer's day-long maintenance and operations forum will review is the so-called Commuter Rule, which requires that operators of 30-and-fewer-seat aircraft conform to FAR Part 121 standards. …
