Debonair Airways, the low-fare, London Luton-based BAe 146 operator, may soon align with 14 regional/national airlines, TWA and an as-yet-unnamed Asian carrier, in what has been dubbed a mini Star Alliance. If formed, the group would be modeled after the Latinpass program created in 1995 involving several Latin American carriers.

Initially, the airlines would link frequent-flier and marketing programs, as well as coordinate flight schedules. Among carriers with which Debonair is discussing an alliance are Rheinland Air Service of Germany, Air Malta, Jersey European, Alpi Eagles of Italy, CityJet, Euroscot Express, AB Airlines, Gill Aviation, Virgin Express, VLM of Belgium, Icelandair, CSA AS of the Czech Republic, Air Moldavia, Base Air of the Netherlands, TWA and an Asian carrier. …
