American Eagle and Atlantic Coast Airlines have reached agreements on new contracts with their mechanics. Pilots at Continental Express have rejected a 5-year accord by almost a 2-1 margin and the Teamsters union has lost its bid to represent mechanics at Express Airlines I.

American Eagle mechanics, ramp service workers and Bight dispatchers, represented by the Transport Workers Union, have voted in favor of an agreement that consolidates 13 contracts into four separate accords applying to 781 mechanics and stock clerks, 177 maintenance and engineering employees at the airline's Regional Aircraft Maintenance Center subsidiary in Gwinn, Mich., all 1,412 ramp service employees and 86 dispatchers. …
