Great Lakes Aviation has acquired four Beech l900Ds from Mesa Air Group in preparation for expansion at Denver International Airport. In late April, Great Lakes inaugurated United Express service between Denver and 14 additional locations.

Under terms of the aircraft acquisition, which is outlined in the airlines 1997 10K filing to the SEC, Mesa Air Group and 1900 manufacturer and lessor Raytheon Aircraft will transfer an additional 11 Beech 1900Ds from Mesa to Spencer, Iowa-based Great takes following a maintenance-acceptance inspection. The l900Ds, which have stand-up cabins, will replace 11 ot Great Lakes' l900Cs.

The transfer of Mesa's l900Ds to Great Lakes is part of a complete refinancing package with Raytheon involving Great Lakes' fleet of more than 30 Beech 1900s. …
