Delta, Aloha continue to have fewest passenger complaints

Delta Air Lines and Aloha Airlines retained their traditional honors as the least-complained about airlines in the country, according to U.S. DOT data. Delta held off the recent challenge of Piedmont, a challenge that resulted in the Atlanta-based carrier actually coming in second in 1984, and lengthened its lead by decreasing its complaint rate while Piedmont's rose, although not enough to knock it out of second place among the majors.

Aloha's complaint rate remained untouchable even while doubling to 0.25 complaints per 100,000 passengers, nearly one-half that of the closest competitor. Southwest came in second, giving it boasting rights as the airline in the mainland U. …
