IFSA strives for increased professionalism

"IFSA is changing,' says Peter A. Wetli, outgoing president of the Inflight Food Service Association, and those changes will be in the forefront at the 22nd annual IFSA Conference at San Diego's Intercontinental Hotel April 5-7.

The "new IFSA' largely molded during his two terms in the organization's presidency by Wetli, who heads up dining and cabin services for USAir, is keyed to greater professionalism. "We're not just a social gathering any more,' he told ATW. "We have a definitive objective, and that is to be able to perform our jobs better, to be more effective and more cost efficient, and certainly to upgrade the quality of the product we offer the passenger. …
