U.S. questions Airbus partners on subsidy

A U.S. request for records of European contributions to Airbus Industrie was denied during talks here, leading the American contingent to maintain its suspicions that Airbus is being subsidized in breach of international agreements.

The question of Airbus subsidies was one of the principal questions raised by the United States delegation in recent informal high-level inter-governmental talks on civil aviation trade issues, particularly as they relate to the GATT Agreement on Trade in Civil Aircraft.
