Abu Dhabi: The newly formed carrier of the largest of the United Arab Emirates is still being organized, and its service plans have not yet been announced.

Alia: Traffic declined once again at Jordan's national airline in 1985. Boardings dipped 2.8% to 1.29 million while RPKs were off 1.6% to 3.55 billion. Freight, however, rose 9% to 152 million FTKs.

El Al: Israel's flag carrier, unlike many of its Middle East counterparts, continued to show good traffic growth in 1985. Passenger boardings were up 5.3% to 1.44 million, RPKs rose 4.9% to 6.6 billion and FTKs jumped 10.2% to 679 million.

Emirates: The flag carrier of the Emirate of Dubai launched service last November, operating an Airbus A300 and a Boeing 737-300, both leased (ATW, 4/86). …
