The battle for feed traffic between commuter level air carriers and the Majors has been joined at Charlotte, N.C.'s Douglas international Airport, the nation's ninth largest hub. New service added this month sharpens the competitive thrust and forecasts more intensive encounters as the full force of newcomer carriers is brought to bear on this burgeoning central U.S. East Coast marketplace.
