Five U.K. commuters align with BCAL.

London--A scheme announced two years ago to consolidate the services of several British commuter airlines through the British Caledonian Airways based at Gatwick has now been considerably expanded and leans heavily on commuter airlines' hub-and-spoke experience in the United States. Five airlines--BCAL, Brymon Airways, Guernsey Airlines, Jersey European Airways and Metropolitan Airways--are involved in operating a unified domestic network, and a sixth Connectair--has its service to Antwerp, Holland, linked in.

The network goes under the title British Caledonian Commuter and aircraft of all the participating airlines carry a logo to that effect. A total of 23 points within Britain are served. …
