Miami--Vacationers entering the Bahama Islands via Southern Florida's Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach jet airline gateways are discovering the novelty and pleasures of flying by seaplane. Yet, behind this unique scenic means of travel, there are some significant time and dollar benefits to be enjoyed.

Chalk's International Airline based on Watson Island in downtown Miami offers a flight time of one hour from Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to Paradise Island and Nassau at a round-trip fare of $119. The jet flight to Nassau's remotely located jet port takes 50 min. to one hour at $105 a round trip. When a $20 to $25 taxi fare and a 45 min. ride to downtown Nassau is included, Chalk's has the edge. The hotel courtesy car or taxi ride to nearby Paradise Island hotels or to the downtown Nassau shopping center is but five min.
