Asian aerospace show bigger and better

Singapore--Asian Aerospace '84, the second international air show to be staged here, was a resounding success in both quality and quantity of exhibits and visitors. Differing from the first show in scope (milifary exhibits were not permitted at the 1981 event) and location (Changi International Airport instead of the Singapore Air Force's Paya Lebar Air Base), the 1984 event was in every sense bigger and better than Asian Aerospace '81. This year there were 400 exhibitors (against 230 in 1981) and the exhibition area covered 8,000 sq. metres indoors and 15,000 sq. metres outdoors for a total area of 23,000 sq. metres (against 4,700 in 1981). …
