Aer Arann's examinership, the Irish equivalent of US Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, was extended by the Irish High Court following the signing of a conditional investment agreement that gives the carrier "a reasonable prospect of survival as a going concern," the court decided.

The regional carrier entered court protection in August and has continued to operate normally, flying all Aer Arann services and all Aer Lingus regional services. …
