Boeing's troubled 787 program received another blow when assembly line workers represented by the International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers walked off their jobs Sept. 6 after rejecting management's final contract offer. The strike halted work on the first 787, which rolled out 15 months ago and has yet to make its first flight. Even before the strike, sources told ATW that the aircraft likely would not fly until the end of 2008 or early 2009. …
