Skyliners 3 is the third of George Hamlin's series of photographic presentations of the airline industry in the late 1950s and early '60s, mostly from the color-slide collection of Mel Lawrence. The first volume covered North American airlines and their transports; the second carriers of Europe, Africa and Latin America.

This latest volume concentrates on Asia and may be the best. The narrative includes contributions from John Wegg. Also, there are intriguing shots of early Japanese airliners: JAL DC-7s, DC-8s and Convair 880s; ANA Doves, Herons and DC-3s, Viscounts and Convairs. …
