Air France KLM Chairman and CEO Jean-Cyril Spinetta credited the airlines' "strong" long-haul network and "ongoing group-wide efforts to contain costs" for a robust profit of [euro]736 million ($1.09 billion) in the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30, up 96.8% from the [euro]374 million reported in the 2006 period.
