Air France, Delta launch transatlantic JV.(FINANCIAL RESULTS, NEW DEALS, AND REPORTS FROM EVERY CORNER OF THE GLOBE)

In a deal clearly inspired by the KLM-Northwest Airlines transatlantic joint venture, Air France and Delta Air Lines last month announced the creation of 50-50 JV to share revenues and costs on their transatlantic operations and confirmed hat DL will use AF slots at London Heathrow to commence a twice-daily LHR-JFK and a daily LHR-Atlanta when the transatlantic open skies agreement comes into force. AF, meanwhile, will launch an LHR-Los Angeles service. The first phase will begin in April 2008 and run through March 2010 and will include all nonstop flights operated by both carriers between AF's Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly and Lyon hubs and DL's Atlanta, New York JFK, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City hubs. …
