Airbus and EADS were hit by another controversy just a week before the handover of the first A380 to Singapore Airlines, this one involving allegations of widespread insider trading by senior executives ahead of the public disclosure of A380 production problems. EADS' stock price plunged 26% following the announcement of A380 delivery delays.

French stock market regulator AMF forwarded a preliminarynary report to prosecutors last month identifying a number of current and former executives under investigation. AMF also alleged that senior officials in France's finance ministry had information on A380 problems but declined to disclose them publicly during the period of alleged insider trading from November 2005 to March 2006. …
