Outsourcers' network.(European Quality Maintenance Alliance)

LONDON--Established last autumn and launched formally at the Farnborough air show, the European Quality Maintenance Alliance (EQMA) has made a promising start and has plans to expand into other parts of Europe.

The aim of the EQMA is to provide a network for line maintenance and other technical services at European airports. The partner companies --all JAR 145-approved--agreed to cooperate in areas such as component distribution, technical know-how, training and manpower pooling.

The alliance's main targets are airlines with policies of outsourcing field maintenance and member companies claim several successes as a group that--in all likelihood--they would not have been able to enjoy as individuals.
