Boeing said it is "confident" it will deliver the 787 on time to ANA next May even if the first flight slips to October, the possibility of which was raised by Chairman, President and CEO Jim McNerney during the company's second-quarter webcast.

Boeing reported a $1.05 billion net profit for the June period, reversing the year-ago loss of $160 million attributed to one-time charges. Revenue climbed 14% to $17 billion. …
