* The US and China agreed to more than double the number of passenger flights between the countries by 2012 and offer airfreight operators "greatly expanded commercial freedom," according to the US Dept. of Transportation. US carriers will be allowed to operate a total of 13 additional daily frequencies to and from China within the next five years compared to 10 today. One frequency will be added this year and next, followed by four in 2009, three in 2010, two in 2011 and two in 2012. …
