"The JSX concept is that of the tailored

solution to placing previously owned aircraft," said Robert K. Wamsley, president of JSX Capital Corp. "Our interest will remain in turboprops. We're willing to move other manufacturers' aircraft, if the deal makes sense for everybody. But we're not out seeking positions in aircraft."

The British Aerospace firm has placed 70 used aircraft since being formed in January, 1993 to manage BAe's portfolio of turboprops, 413 at last count, and helped build new markets for these aircraft by targeting start-ups, corporate operators, charter and air-ambulance services, to name a few.

The former Citibank VP commented on JSX's success and how it avoids the ravines into which other OEM lessors have fallen, saying Jsx's success lies, in part, in taking care of existing operators such as Trans States Airlines, which has acquired 11 J31s, and American Eagle, which is getting out of the 19-seat market. …
